Potato Corner began operations in the Philippines in 1992. This initial kiosk paid itself back in just one month. The following year, franchise operations began. By 1995, Potato Corner grew to 70 outlets – a mixture of carts, kiosks, counters, and dine-in shops.
Potato Corner managed to weather 1997’s Asian economic crisis, and today is on track to increase revenues by 55% over the last year. This proves the staying power and appeal of its product lines. At present, Potato Corner has 100 shops, and still in its growth stage.
The international arena is Potato Corner’s natural next step. Beginning with Singapore, Potato Corner is poised to enter Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, as well as neighboring ASEAN Countries.
Potato Corner’s entry to Singapore marks an opportunity to introduce to the ASIAN market even more varieties than we currently have in the Philippines.
